Philippe Gougler, the host of "Faut pas rêve", France 3's cult travel show, was Wednesday the guest of Philippe Vandel on Europe 1, on the occasion of the re-broadcast of an issue devoted to Périgord.

Do not dream , the discovery program of France 3 celebrates its 30th anniversary Wednesday at 9:05 pm with a number devoted to Périgord, and shot in 2017. "We were deprived of trips, the time to restart the machine we decided to leave for one of our most beautiful destinations ", explains to Philippe Vandel's microphone, in Culture Medias on Europe 1, the host Philippe Gougler. If the region is already well known to the French, and even foreign tourists, especially British, the program invites to rediscover it through the eyes of its inhabitants. "The raw material of Faut pas rêve is the beautiful image, the taste for aesthetics, but above all human encounters", underlines Philippe Gougler.

Under the sign of gastronomy

On the program, in particular, an exploration of the Villars cave; thirteen kilometers of galleries where cave paintings appear. The opportunity to introduce viewers to prehistoric cuisine with a tasting of ... slugs. "To succeed in eating ignoble things, it must be said that it is not because it is ugly or that it stinks that it is bad!", Slips Philippe Gougler. Before adding, not without humor: "But I think that Perigord gastronomy has made a lot of progress!"

Another Périgord specialty at the heart of this issue of Faut pas rêve  : the black truffle. The show thus goes behind the scenes of a skidding session with Edouard Aynaud, one of the most important truffle farmers in the region.

Do not dream - Travel in Périgord, to find Wednesday on France 3 therefore, from 9:05 pm.
