Amid continuing protests and sabotage since May 25, after the death of an African American, George Floyd at the hands of a security force, the US military resorted to using helicopters, by flying at low altitude, to disperse crowds in the capital, Washington.

Activists circulated video clips showing "Black Hawk" and "Lakota" helicopters belonging to the US Army flying low over the crowds in order to stir up winds and dust to separate them.

Floyd, 46, spent suffocation last week when policeman Derek Chauvin pressed his knee to his neck to death in Minneapolis and was subsequently charged with manslaughter, after he pressed his knee on his neck for about nine minutes, without heeding to his cries while he was chained and fixed to the ground that he could not Breathing.

Some protests against Floyd's support for the Black Lives Mater movement (the life of blacks are important) turned into looting and riots, prompting many local authorities to declare a night curfew.
