The New York University Abu Dhabi Art Gallery launches its second digital archive of the Swiss artist Zimon exhibition, as part of a series of virtual art events entitled "Investigations: Archives and Meetings", which brings together audiences of curators and artists who participated in previous art gallery exhibitions.

Zimon will participate in a new virtual show designed specifically for the gallery's art audience, as it will present them with an audio presentation that they can listen from home using headphones and in the dark. The "Investigation: Zimon" virtual session will start at 6:00 pm, next Tuesday, and it will be displayed via the live broadcast feature on the official page of the art gallery on Facebook.

The work includes 510 DC motors, a 2142-meter cord and 20-centimeter wooden sticks each. The exhibition's digital archive will include a wide range of videos, pictures and files that can be downloaded, such as archived materials, a booklet for young audiences, as well as extracts from the first written project dealing with the works of Zimon, which was launched by the Art Gallery, and was edited by the Chief Curator of Technology at New York University Abu Dhabi and Executive Director For art gallery, Maya Alison. The Zimon Gallery opened in the art gallery in February 2019, including two main events, the first of which was to display the works of the artist Zimon for the first time in the Persian Gulf, including the presentation of a work assigned to him by the artist for the first time, followed by the launch of the first written project dealing with the known world works of Zemun, Next year, he will see exhibitions at the Hayward Gallery in London, the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Korea, and the Queen Sofia National Museum of Art in Spain.

For her part, Maya Alison said: “When meeting artists and curators, I consider how the audience can experience a deep-feeling experience similar to the one an individual experiences when visiting an art site or meeting a friend.”

She added, “It pleased me that Zimon accepted my suggestion to work on a dedicated virtual event that allows the public to explore Zimmun’s works via the Internet. Typically, Zimon performances are presented in complete darkness, to enable the listener to fully immerse in the sound, and the experience will allow the audience to put headphones and choose the appropriate method "To block the view, either by closing their eyes, turning off the lighting, or putting an eye cap, to get Zimon to listen to the way the sound is formed directly."
