Some studies indicate that patients with the emerging coronavirus, may experience some symptoms, which are similar to those of colon patients, which requires research on ways to differentiate between them.

David Robin, head of the digestive and liver diseases department at the University of Chicago, says he noticed a group of symptoms of corona, which are related to the digestive system such as fever and dry cough, and respiratory symptoms such as shortness of breath, general fatigue, muscle pain, and loss of smell and taste, according to American University of Michigan site.

Symptoms of digestive problems, or colon diseases, include moderate to severe pain in the abdomen, flatulence (frequent bowel movement), and severe diarrhea.

To distinguish between the symptoms of corona and the digestive system, it should be noted that infection of corona infection is accompanied by symptoms of respiratory infection with stimulation of bowel movement, although research is still ongoing.

The American doctor believes that until now there is no evidence that colon patients can be at risk of developing the new coronavirus, which causes Covid-19 disease.
