On May 29th, a suspected explosion occurred in the flood discharge and sand tunnel of the Sinanjiang Hydropower Station in Mojiang County, Pu'er City, Yunnan Province. Four people were injured, four people were killed and three people were trapped.

  After the Puer City Fire Rescue Detachment and Mojiang County Fire Rescue Brigade arrived at the scene, the on-site commander ordered rescue firefighters to wear air respirators and personal protective equipment, and use the guide rope to enter the hole to search and rescue the remaining three trapped people.

  At 15:15, the rescue firefighters successfully searched and rescued a trapped person with signs of life and sent it to a 120 ambulance with a stretcher to the hospital for treatment. Then he entered the Chongsha Cave again to search and rescue the remaining two trapped people. At 16:52 and 16:53, the last two trapped persons were rescued respectively. After confirmation by the medical staff at the scene, the two trapped persons had no vital signs.
