Filmmakers continue to be inspired by the theme of life in self-isolation. This time, the fictional blogger Ilona (Anna Shepeleva) turned out to be a victim of restrictive measures: because of the coronavirus, she lost her place as a kept woman, and at the same time - the attributes of a luxurious life, friends and subscribers.

To help the heroine return to her former life, PR manager Maxim performed by Maxim Lagashkin is taken. The artist played two more roles besides the main one - the influential lover and mother of the main character.

"Alex Rider" (Alex Rider). Starting June 4th on Amazon Prime Video UK

When Alex Ryder was left an orphan, his uncle took over his upbringing. Under the strict guidance of a relative, the boy learned martial arts and learned foreign languages. 

After the tragic death of a guardian, Alex suddenly inherits his position: it turns out that his uncle was an employee of MI6. Scouts introduce the young man to a boarding school for the children of millionaires, where a world conspiracy is brewing.

"Alex Ryder" is a film adaptation of a series of books by British writer and screenwriter Anthony Horowitz. The first novel of the cycle was transferred to the screen in the form of the full-length film “Stormbreaker”, in which Alex Pettifer played the main role. Then the box office tape did not cover the cost of production, and the shooting continued had to be canceled.

"Cheeks." From June 4th to more.tv

Lyudka, Marina and Sveta live in a small town in southern Russia, work in a brothel near the highway. Their friend Zhanna, who returned from Moscow, offers the heroines to start a new life, end illegal earnings and open a fitness center. But before this happens, the girls have to go through a lack of understanding of their loved ones, confront the threats of the former "employer" and generally change a lot.

The roles in the series were played by Irina Nosova, Irina Gorbacheva, Varvara Shmykova, Alyona Mikhailova and Vitaliy Kishchenko. The project consists of eight episodes.

"President" (El Presidente). From June 4th on Amazon

The “President” is exploiting the topic of the corruption scandal in FIFA, which shocked the world of sports in 2015. In the story, the main character - the director of a small Chilean football club Sergio Hadue - unexpectedly finds himself at the head of the country's Football Federation. Intoxicated by the authorities, he becomes a member of a large-scale corruption scheme developed by Judge Julio Grondona.

The series will offer viewers an ironic behind-the-scenes look at the business side of the most popular sport.

Three countries took part in the issue of the “President” - the USA, Argentina and Chile. Armando Bo, screenwriter, showrunner and one of the directors of the project, received the Oscar in 2015 for the script for the dramatic Alejandro González Iñárritu Birdman. Bo said that he intended to spice up the high-profile story with a bit of humor and focus not on sports, but on the lives of ten people who ruled the world of football. 

The Flooded City (Curon). From June 10th on Netflix

The events of the mystical thriller "Flooded City" unfold in a village located in northern Italy. The heroine of Valeria Billello Anna, who left those lands 17 years ago, returns home with two teenage children. After some time, the woman disappears, and her children are faced with dark family secrets in an attempt to find a mother.

Filming of the series ended before the coronavirus pandemic, but by the beginning of ubiquitous self-isolation, post-production was only half completed. According to line producer Alessandro Mascheroni, the team was able to radically revise the approach to production and work remotely.

"Zombie Reality" (Reality Z). From June 10th on Netflix

"Zombie Reality" is a Brazilian comedic horror about the invasion of zombies. According to the plot for the main characters, the only refuge from the living dead becomes a television studio, where the reality show was filmed. However, there survivors are faced with something no less dangerous.

The plot of the tape is based on the British series Dead End, which was released in 2008 and was nominated for a BAFTA TV Award.

“In the Thick Forest” (The Woods). From June 12th on Netflix

The plot of the Polish serial detective thriller "In the Thick Forest" is based on the novel of the same name by American writer Harlan Koben. The directors of the project are Lezek David and Bartek Konopka (the picture of the latter “Rabbit in Berlin” was nominated for an Oscar as the best documentary short film).

The events of this tape take place simultaneously in 1994 and 2019. The main character is a Warsaw prosecutor who is still grieving over the death of his sister: 25 years ago, while in a summer camp, she went to the forest at night. Since then, no one has seen the girl. But the recently discovered body of a boy who disappeared with her can shed light on what happened. The protagonist has the hope that the sister is still alive.

According to Leszek David, “In the Thick Forest” is a story full of secrets that the viewer will certainly want to plunge into. 

"Hope". From June 18 to Start

The premiere of the pilot series of the drama by Elena Khazanova (“Mistresses”, “One Inhale”) “Hope” took place in the summer of 2019 in the Moscow International Film Festival series, and in the fall, filming of the full season began. Each episode lasts about 25 minutes, which, according to producer Alexei Trotsyuk, is a rarity for multi-part action movies.

The main role in the series was played by Victoria Isakova (“One Inhale”). Her heroine Nadezhda leads a double life: for loved ones, she is a caring wife and mother, a flight attendant of a private airline. But in reality, Nadezhda is a ruthless killer working for a criminal organization with a military psychiatrist (Alexei Guskov) at the head. At some point, the company begins to threaten the heroine's family.

According to Isakova, her character is a very complex character, so playing her was especially interesting. The actress emphasized that on the set she felt like a superman.

"Perry Mason" (Perry Mason). From June 21 at HBO, from June 22 at Amediateka

The plot of the detective series "Perry Mason" was based on the novels of American writer Earl Stanley Gardner. The project, dedicated to the history of lawyer Perry Mason, takes place in 1932.

The protagonist of the series performed by Matthew Reese ("A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood", "Love and Other Disasters") is engaged in private investigation and is barely making ends meet. Mason is haunted by memories of the war, in addition, he cannot recover from a divorce.

This is not the first attempt by HBO to release a series about the activities of the famous lawyer. The company began working on the project back in 2016 with Nick Pizzolatto. It was planned that he would write the script, and the main role would go to Robert Downey Jr. However, in 2017, Pizzolatto left the project in order to come to grips with the third season of True Detective.

As a result, the script was written by Ron Fitzgerald (The World of the Wild West) and Rolin Jones (Life in the Details), the directors of the series were Timothy Van Patten (Clan Soprano, The Black Mirror) and Denise Gamze Ergyuven (The Handmaid's Tale) ) The operator was Darran Tiernan, known for projects such as the World of the Wild West and American Gods. Robert Downey Jr. remained in the project as one of the producers.

"Whirlpool". From June 27 to Kinopoisk HD

In the detective thriller "Whirlpool" Vladimir Vdovichenkov played the role of a policeman who is investigating a series of murders. Among the victims are several teenagers whose parents do not care about the children. These crimes can be found one more thing in common: they look like occult rituals.

In parallel with the investigation of a series of mysterious crimes, viewers will be able to follow the personal stories of the main characters.
