A statue of Little Richards is to be erected in front of his childhood home in Macon, Georgia. In any case, this was announced by the establishment on its Facebook page, since the place hosts a documentation center dedicated to the artist.

The father of rock'n'roll, Richard Wayne Penniman of his real name, died on May 9 in Nashville at the age of 87. He was buried in the city where he had studied, in Huntsville, Alabama.
Not one but two statues
A fund was launched by the Association of Friends of Little Richard's House as well as the Community Foundation of Central Georgia to finance the construction of this statue, but also a replica which will be erected near the artist's star. on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The funds raised will also go to organizations working to educate precarious students in music in Bibb County, still in Georgia. The goal is to inaugurate the statue on December 5, when Little Richard would have been 88 years old.
