This Caracal helicopter came to rescue a fisherman in difficulty on the Arcachon Basin - Maritime Prefecture of the Atlantic

The fisherman had silted up at Claouey, on the Cap-Ferret peninsula (Gironde). A Caracal helicopter from air base 120 at Cazaux (Gironde) had to intervene on Thursday afternoon around 5:40 p.m. to rescue this man in difficulty, said the Atlantic Maritime Prefecture.

According to Sud Ouest , this clam fisherman remained silted for 1 hour 30 minutes, while the tide was rising. An SNSM crew first tried to join it, without success. The Dragon 33 Civil Security helicopter being mobilized on a search for a missing bather at Cap-Ferret, it was the Air Force that was contacted.

The man was transported to Arcachon hospital.
