Until now, nothing was known about the number of subscribers to the Molotov application. Born in 2016, Molotov proposes to reinvent the way of watching TV. The Opinion revealed on Friday that the application has 200,000 paying subscribers and eleven million registered accounts.

It is the first time that the application, founded by Jean-David Blanc, the creator of Allociné, Pierre Lescure, the founder of Canal +, and Jean-Marc Denoual, has revealed its number of subscribers. So far, Molotov has always refused to give any figures on the number of people paying for options. No doubt because its creators were waiting to have crossed a significant milestone.

Molotov sells its data

Molotov also hopes to be able to diversify its activities. By the end of the year, it will allow its users to rent or buy films, series and documentaries…

And Molotov also wants to make money by selling his data. TV channels will soon be able to target advertising. And with several million registered users, Molotov tells himself that he has a full bag that will necessarily interest the channels.
