Coronavirus: Plastic is back! - 20 Minutes

To comply with the sanitary measures established against the coronavirus crisis, traders erect plexiglass barriers in their stalls. Bags, plexiglass protections in stores, packaged food, masks, gloves and visors… plastic is coming back in force in our daily lives.

In order to respect social distancing, plastic circles are stuck on the floor of stations, like at Saint-Lazare station in Paris. And disposable gloves and bags are preferred over reusable ones for shopping. As a result, plexiglass production increased sharply during the Covid-19 pandemic.

20 Minutes returns in images to this phenomenon present all over the world.
