Joseph Bouasse Ombiogno Perfection, born September 1, 1998 in Yaoundé, was certainly not the most renowned and most talented of Cameroonian footballers. But his misadventure in Italy, when he was abandoned in 2014 at a station by a crooked agent, then welcomed by a team of refugees and asylum seekers (Liberi Nantes), had moved local public opinion.

An Italy moved

AS Rome, one of the most prestigious clubs in the country, then offered him his chance, a few months after a friendly match against Liberi Nantes. It was in 2016-2017 with, thereafter, a loan in the club of Vicenza. Despite this inconclusive experience in youth selection (Primavera), Roma have not forgotten the 21-year-old midfielder. The Roman formation was thus one of the first to pay tribute to the man who had just joined the Universitatea Cluj, in Romania. " Everyone at the club is very saddened by the death of Joseph Bouasse Ombiogno Perfection, ex-Primavera player , tweeted AS Rome. Our thoughts are with all his loved ones, in these difficult times. RIP ".

The German Antonio Rüdiger of Chelsea (England), ex-partner of Joseph Bouasse Ombiogno Perfection at Roma, was also moved by the fate of his ex-protégé: “ Horrible news. I'm so sad to hear it. Rest in peace, my brother. A young talent who left us too early. Condolences to the whole family. "

Cameroonian football still mourning

Even if he left his homeland at an early age, the Cameroonians have not forgotten Joseph Bouasse Ombiogno Perfection. The president of the Football Federation, Seidou Mbombo Njoya, published this message: “ It was a great promise for our national teams and for our football. My thoughts are with his family and loved ones. "

In recent years, many Cameroonian footballers have died prematurely and tragically for various reasons, from Marc-Vivien Foé in 2003 to Patrick Ekeng in 2016 via Eric Kamdem in 2009, Albert Ebossé in 2014 or Valéry Mézague the same year.
