Resumption of the political calendar in China

Beijing continues to face a plethora of international inquiries about the origins of the coronavirus pandemic. It is in this context that the annual session of the National People's Congress takes place with more than two months behind schedule.

Publicity

A political ritual of red China since the 1990s which will obviously focus on the way in which Beijing managed and perhaps solved the problem of the Covid-19. The regime wants to get back on track as quickly as possible, because for the first time since the turn towards the market economy, the Chinese have to face a decline in growth.
