Netflix, the video-on-demand platform, has announced the upcoming deletion of a few hundred thousand subscriber accounts that have not used its services for at least a year. Their data will however be kept for ten months.

Netflix will delete the accounts of its inactive customers, i.e. those who have forgotten that they have subscribed to the platform, or at least who never use it. Don't panic, therefore, if you regularly watch Netflix programs: you won't get kicked out like a mess! However, if you haven't watched anything in a year, your account will be automatically suspended. Netflix will put the forms there: an email will be sent to the user to warn him.

According to Netflix, these inactive accounts represent less than 0.5% of the total number of its subscribers, or a few hundred thousand. Netflix has 182 million subscribers worldwide.

But not only ; the little email warning of the termination of the subscription can also be a good opportunity to remember the fond memories of the person who turned the page. And bring it back into the fold of the platform.

And besides, the break will first look like a break: Netflix announces that once the account deleted, the profile and favorites of the user concerned will be kept in the platform's archives for ten months. Something to allow a reunion one day, as if nothing had happened ...
