Gillian Anderson Calls on Thai Zoo to Release Animals
Gillian Anderson has teamed up with PETA Asia to request the closure of the Pata Zoo in Bangkok, Thailand after a fire. The actress wrote a letter to the zoo director, shared on the association's website, to demand that exotic animals be released in shelters. “In this difficult time, we are all experiencing containment. I can't help but think of the animals at Pata Zoo, which have been isolated and alone for years, if not decades. While a fire has recently broken out in the zoo, I am writing to ask you to really think about the life of these animals and to close the zoo, ”wrote the X-Files star . In a video posted recently on YouTube, PETA described the Pata zoo as "the saddest place in the world".
