A former member of the Aden Provincial Council, Nabil Ghanem, affirmed that the crisis of the spread of the Corona epidemic has exceeded the boundaries of Aden Governorate to invade the rest of the regions, and that Yemen can now be classified as a "endemic" country with more than one disease; Such as malaria, celery, dengue, corona, and others, and the health system can be considered broken and unable to cope with the threat of epidemics.

He added - during his statements to the (20/5/2020) episode of the "Beyond the News" program - that it is necessary to leave the health sector in Yemen away from all disputes and tensions, because the situation has become very dangerous, as the number of deaths exceeded 290 and 48 in Sana'a.

In turn, the author and political analyst Assaad Bishara blamed the deteriorating health conditions in Yemen to all political parties, led by the Houthis and the Saudi-Emirati alliance, stressing the importance of controlling an urgent Arab and international backed plan to save the country from reaching the point of "no return" regarding the Corona pandemic.

He continued that if the immediate international intervention to impose a humanitarian ceasefire without conditions is delayed, the disaster will take place in Yemen, stressing that the responsibility in southern Yemen lies primarily with the coalition, which does not reflect the required image of its declared mission, in light of the chaos and continued fighting between the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council and government forces Legitimacy, referring to the great ambiguity surrounding the health status numbers and the extent of the epidemic in the capital, Sana'a, and the Houthis' lack of transparency in this regard.

For his part, the director of the educational hospital, Taiz Nashwan Al-Hussami, said that the health situation in the governorate portends a health disaster, and that the governor announced in a press conference the loss of control over the spread of the Corona virus, and the capabilities of the local authority are unable to combat it, and he pointed to the seriousness of the health status of the rest of those with chronic diseases Such as kidney failure, diabetes and blood pressure.
