Deconfinement: Italy puts its nose out - 20 Minutes

The first country in Europe to confine itself to fighting the coronavirus crisis, Italy has been throwing its nose out since May 18, 2020. The majority of small and large businesses, hairdressers, beauty salons, bars and restaurants have been authorized to reopen across the country, after the containment necessary to limit the Covid-19 pandemic.

Saint Peter's Basilica in Rome reopened on Monday to the public, a symbol of the return to relative normality in Italy. In the Italian capital, passers-by repeat breaks in front of the Trevi fountain, or stop at a table to enjoy a pizza (no, no, it's not a cliché…). In Milan, shopping malls are once again welcoming shopping tifosis. And in Venice… you can repeat gondola rides!

If the recovery is done slowly, we can once again sit on the terrace and chat in front of the bars (you dream about it, huh!).
