NPO corporations are also eligible for "support money" Submission of request form to Saitama prefecture 18:34 on May 20

Organizations conducting support activities for persons with disabilities and the elderly in Saitama Prefecture are subject to support funds provided independently by the prefecture, saying that there are many cases in which business continuation becomes difficult due to the influence of the new coronavirus. We submitted a request form for economic support to the prefecture, such as adding it.

Requests were made by 147 organizations such as NPO corporations that support the disabled and the elderly in Saitama Prefecture.

On the 19th, representatives from four groups visited the prefectural office and handed a request letter to Hitoshi Yamano, head of the prefectural life department. In the request form, we request that small and medium-sized enterprises that have been closed for a certain period of time be added to NPO groups that are not covered by the "support money" that the prefecture provides up to 400,000 yen.

Among the organizations that have made requests, the NPO "Workers Collective Aoi Sora" in Misato City is operating a restaurant where people with disabilities work and delivering lunch boxes to the elderly living alone.

However, due to the effect of the new coronavirus, restaurants, which account for more than half of the group's annual income, will be closed, and if the current situation continues, activities may not be maintained.

NPO corporation president Koji Soda said, "If support cannot be continued, it will be a matter of life and death for the elderly and people with disabilities in the community. I would like to ask for support money to continue."
