[Commentary] Recently, with the support and cooperation of the Sichuan police, the Shaanxi police successfully recovered a person who was abducted at the age of two after 32 years of unremitting efforts. On the afternoon of May 18, the Ministry of Public Security organized the Shaanxi Public Security Bureau to arrange for Mao Zhenping, Li Jingzhi and his long-lost son Mao Yin to recognize their relatives at the Xi’an Public Security Bureau, and the family eventually reunited.

　　[Commentary] On October 17, 1988, two-year-old Mao Yin (Xiaoming Jiajia, born on February 23, 1986) was abducted at the door of a hotel in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province. After the incident, the public security organ immediately carried out investigations, visited witnesses and surrounding masses extensively, and went to Anhui, Shandong, Shanxi and other places to check relevant clues, but no effective progress was made in related work.

　　In 2009, after the national public security organs launched a special action against child trafficking in women, the Ministry of Public Security listed the case as a supervision case, and organized public security organs in Shaanxi and other places to investigate and rescue the abducted. According to the deployment, the Public Security Bureau of Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province upgraded the investigation office to set up a special task force and insisted that the case should not be broken. The special task force should not be withdrawn.

　　At the end of April this year, the Municipal Bureau of Anti-trafficking Office was informed of a clue that many years ago, a Mianyang person had adopted a Xi'an child for 6,000 yuan. After the investigation and judgment of the Criminal Investigation Bureau of the Provincial Public Security Department, the identity of the suspected person Gu Mouning was determined, and the task force was immediately arranged to go to Sichuan for verification. With the vigorous cooperation of the local public security organs, finally found the adoptive father Gu Moumou and Gu Mouning himself. On May 10, after reviewing the DNA comparison, it was confirmed that Gu Mouning was Mao Yin who was abducted 32 years ago.

　　【Commentary】 According to the police, since the “Reunion” system of the Ministry of Public Security ’s emergency release platform for children ’s disappearance information was officially launched on May 15, 2016, a total of 4467 children ’s disappearance information has been released, 4385 children have been recovered, and the recovery rate is 98.2 %. At present, public security agencies across the country have recovered more than 6,300 children who have been abducted for many years by accumulating cases and comparing DNA databases to reunite them with their families.
