The International Astronomy Center expected Sunday, May 24, to be the first day of Eid Al Fitr in most Islamic countries in which the blessed month of Ramadan began on April 24, while the countries that started the holy month of April 25 will investigate the crescent of the feast next Saturday.
The return of the director of the center, Muhammad Shaukat, said in a statement today that seeing the crescent next Friday is impossible in all countries of the Islamic world due to the setting of the moon before the sun and because of the occurrence of conjugation (the crescent is born) after sunset, and accordingly the countries where Friday 29 Ramadan will complete the holy month 30 days and the day of Eid will be on Sunday, May 24. As for the countries that will investigate the crescent on Saturday, it is possible to see the crescent from the east of the Islamic world using the telescope only, while seeing it with the unaided eye is difficult from all the Arab world and the countries of Africa, southern Europe and Canada, but the crescent Can be seen with the eye pain Easily inventory from the United States, Central America and North North America, and therefore it is expected that the feast will be in most of these countries on Sunday, May 24 also, while it may be Monday in Pakistan and Brunei, due to the inability to see the Saturday Crescent from these areas with the naked eye.
It should be noted that many jurists and astronomers believe that there is no need to investigate the crescent after sunset on Friday from the regions where the moon is absent before the sun because the moon is not present in the sky at that time and therefore it is impossible to see the crescent on that day is an absolute impossibility from those areas and this is known in advance Through deterministic scientific calculations.
