School meals are now free in the 126 primary schools in Montpellier, until the end of the school year. A decision made for social and health reasons.
In a tweet, Philippe Saurel (DVG), mayor of the seventh city in France, specifies various barrier gestures to avoid the spread of the coronavirus and justify this decision: "Distancing, separation of flows, no more canteen terminals, avoiding contact, hand washing… "
The canteen will be free until the end of the school year for children in #Montpellier schools.

For practical reasons, the menus will be based on cold meals. Each student must bring their own bottle. In Montpellier, only 5% of children have returned to primary schools since the deconfinement and the reopening of classes on May 12.
