INTERVIEW

Since the start of the coronavirus epidemic, some doctors have come out of the woodwork. The case of Professor Raoult was particularly publicized, the doctor having sailed against the tide, following non-validated protocols for hydroxychloroquine. Invited from Europe 1 Monday, Doctor Patrick Bouet, president of the National Council of the Order of Physicians, announced that a certain number of professionals would be summoned shortly: "We will ask for explanations from those who have departed from the code of ethics . Unscientifically proven beliefs

"For the time being, we are in the convocation and meeting phase at the level of the departmental councils", specifies Patrick Bouet. In all, around twenty general practitioners would have tried experiments on their patients, with non-validated treatments. Many of them have also found in the media the sounding board to which they aspired to highlight their work.

These professionals would, according to the president of the Order of doctors, showed a lack of "coolness" and acted according to personal convictions not scientifically demonstrated. "We are not there to play sorcerer's apprentice with drugs even if they are already used in other infections", thunders the professor, adding that the consequences were "too heavy" to take things lightly.
