The Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation will organize, tomorrow, a virtual seminar entitled “The Isolation of Writing in the Time of Corona”, in which Dr. Shukri Al-Makhboot, the journalist Abdo Wazan and Dr. Talib Al-Rifai will participate.

Through the virtual "Zoom" platform, the participants will shed light on the concept of writing in the time of the stone and the isolation imposed on the writer, and what its intellectual and psychological effects, and how some writers invested them to create a creative case that gave texts that rise to the level of the great event that hit the globe fiercely.

Participants in the panel are descended from prominent cultural and creative backgrounds, as Tunisian academic and novelist Shokri Al-Mabkhout is considered one of the brightest Arabic novelist voices, in addition to holding the title of winner of the International Prize for Arabic Fiction (Booker) for his novel “The Italian”.

While the Kuwaiti novelist Talib Al-Rifai is considered one of the most prominent Gulf and Arab names in writing the story and the novel, and he is an academic and journalist, and he is the Secretary-General of the Al-Multaqa Award for the Short Story.

While the Lebanese journalist Abdo Wazen combines several fields, he is a poet, translator, novelist and journalist who won many literary awards, most notably the Sheikh Zayed Book Award for his novel “The Boy Who Seen the Color of Air”.

The Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation had organized more than one discussion session via its digital platform, on the authority of the poet Saeed bin Atij Al Hamli, in which both Moayad Al Shaibani and Ibrahim Al Hashemi participated, and a seminar on the poet Ahmed Amin Al Madani in which Bilal Al Badour, Dr. Maryam Al Hashemi and Dr. Haitham participated. Yahya Al-Khawaja and Ibrahim Al-Hashimi.
