Sad news for Modern Family fans ! The actor Fred Willard, who camped Frank, the father of Phil Dunphy in the sitcom, died at the age of 86 years this Friday.

In the cinema, he appeared in Austin Powers and American Pie . Fred Willard has acted in many series such as Lois and Clark , Castle and Everyone loves Raymond. The actor was named to the Emmy Awards for his performance in Modern Family . Franck Dunphy, his character, died in season 11 of the show.
