(Fighting against New Coronary Pneumonia) Shulan's anti-epidemic front surges "Youth Power": Volunteers protect their hometown

China News Service, Jilin, May 16 (Shi Hongyu) has been on the job for 6 days. The 21-year-old college student Yixin still needs to overcome suffocation, leg pain and anxiety. She and a number of volunteers are stationed at the card point of Junting Rose Garden Community in Shulan City, Jilin Province. She measures temperature, registers, and advertises. She will not slack off for 6 hours a day on duty.

This semester is completely "reimbursed", and the epidemic situation in my hometown has appeared repeatedly. Chu Yixin, like many young people in the local area, chose to come to the frontline of the epidemic to contribute.

On May 7, a local case of new coronary pneumonia was diagnosed in Shulan City, ending the good situation of no new confirmed cases and new suspected cases in Jilin Province in 73 days. At present, the local government is taking the strictest control measures to carry out prevention and control work.

Chu Yixin and Shulan entered the "wartime state" together. "I have planned in time, my net class and stand guard can be staggered, and both battles can be won." As a sophomore at the Changchun Institute of Architecture, she has come to the frontline for the second time. During the whole social group defense and control during the Spring Festival, she was on duty at the local card spot for 33 days.

For temperature measurement, registration, checking the health code, and reminding residents to pay attention to daily protection, etc., the work of Yixinxin is already familiar. However, the feelings of the two guards are completely different. "This time is more urgent, as if the danger is at hand." According to her, the suffocation brought by protective clothing, goggles, and masks is much stronger than in winter.

Yang Yuan, a freshman student from Changchun University, feels the same. The card point she stationed every day is located in the local Honglin community, which is sultry and exhausted. However, she also needs to help medical staff to do nucleic acid detection and other work.

"I can be responsible for registration and statistics, and help medical staff reduce the burden. I can't be absent from such major events in my hometown." Yang Yuan said, she took part in the work of the campus association and was familiar with statistics, classification, registration and other links. After the card point is on duty, she will "overtime" at home, carefully checking the numbers and information on the registration form.

Data from the Shulan Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League shows that 420 local volunteers were sent. Not only did they participate in the work of prevention and control monitoring points, some university students' clerical work also assisted the local epidemic prevention and prevention joint control command center to do big data statistics.

Yang Yuan said, "In this team, everyone does their best and has their own strengths."

Lv Qingxun's specialty is taking pictures. At the age of 26, he runs a local children's photography studio. "During the Spring Festival, I helped to produce some anti-epidemic propaganda pictures and video materials. Later, I signed up to volunteer through the public account."

On the 10th of this month, Lu Qingxun temporarily closed the store. After arriving at the designated card point, he took the initiative to report his specialty. In addition to daily guarding, he will produce some promotional videos and video materials, "Do some science, and also encourage everyone."

33-year-old Xu Xin is the older volunteer who returned to Shulan from Beijing to start a business. Affected by the epidemic, he also temporarily shut down his business. "I came back from home to watch my hometown."

Back in Shulan, Xu Xin had a family. In order to avoid risks, he volunteered to send his children to his sister's house after volunteering, and he began to isolate himself after work. "I hope my hometown will get better soon." (End)
