The coronavirus epidemic is still raging in our country: it has killed, since March 1, 27,529 people.

A first weekend of deconfinement with a taste for freedom…

The French will enjoy Saturday and Sunday a first weekend of deconfinement, with many shops and public spaces accessible for the first time in two months. Tourist sites occasionally reopen, such as Mont Saint-Michel, the 39 forests of Ile-de-France, the cathedral of Chartres and even the Aiguille du Midi whose cable car is back in service.

For the first escapades of deconfinement, authorized within the limit of 100 km as the crow flies, the roads should record the first slowdowns as in a western direction from Paris, as provided by the motorway companies.

… But the authorities are watching over the grain

For government spokesperson Sibeth Ndiaye, the results of the first days of deconfinement are "generally positive". She praised measures "very well respected", while warning that there was "a lot of work to be done" by the summer season. To prevent this return to a certain freedom of movement from promoting a new outbreak of the epidemic, the authorities are increasing the authorities' calls for caution, civility and responsibility.

A special recovery for the German championship

The Bundesliga opens the ball! The German football championship is the first of the major European leagues to resume competition on Saturday afternoon after a month and a half of interruption. A draconian health protocol will be applied to limit as much as possible the risks of contamination on and off the field, while the matches will take place behind closed doors.
