The number of hospital admissions for Covid-19 cases continues to decline. The Directorate General of Health on Saturday counted 350 new admissions in 24 hours. A week ago, that number was 265. Currently 19,432 people are hospitalized for Covid-19 infection. 

The number of patients in intensive care is also decreasing. Today, 2.132 people are hospitalized in intensive care after having contracted Covid-19. They were 2,812 a week ago, said the DGS.

According to the DGS, hospitalizations are concentrated in four regions: Île de France, Grand-Est, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Hauts-de-France, which account for 73% of hospitalized cases. 

In total, since the beginning of the epidemic, 61,066 people have returned home after being hospitalized, specifies the DGS.
