The terms of the exceptional bonus of up to 1,000 for civil servants mobilized (police, military, magistrates, etc.) during the coronavirus crisis were published in the Official Journal this Friday.

For the State, its public establishments and its public interest groups, the beneficiaries of the premium and the amount are determined by the head of service or the governing body, depending in particular on the duration of the mobilization of agents, with three rates (330, 660 and 1,000 euros), specifies the decree.

A separate decree for medico-social establishments

The principle of this bonus, exempt from social security contributions and not taxable, had been announced by the Minister of Public Accounts Gérald Darmanin on April 15. It must concern an official of the State Civil Service on five, that is to say 400,000 people, had then specified the Ministry of Public Accounts.

In the territorial public service, it is the territorial authority (for example the mayor) which defines the amount and the terms of the bonus, also capped at 1,000 euros. The exceptional premium granted to medico-social establishments and services is the subject of a separate decree, with amounts of 500 to 1,500 euros.
