After those of La Baule, Pornichet, Île d'Yeu and Les Sables d'Olonne, the beaches of Loire-Atlantique and Vendée continue to be undefined. The mayor of Saint-Nazaire David Samzun, who has been waiting for his authorization since Monday, has just announced that the time has come for his town: since this Friday morning, it is possible to walk or play sports on the sand ( but not to lie down, as in most of the accessible beaches).

To finally see the ocean again, residents will be spoiled for choice in Loire-Atlantique: authorizations have also been granted to the municipalities of Assérac, La Bernerie-en-Retz, La Plaine-sur-Mer, La Turballe, Le Croisic, Le Pouliguen, Les Moutiers, Mesquer, Piriac, Pornic, Préfailles, Saint-Brevin, Saint-Michel. The beaches are open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

It is imminent in Vendée

If new derogations could still fall in the next hours, we know which beaches in Vendée will be affected. In a press release, the prefect himself unveiled the list of beaches that will open "at the latest" on Saturday: among the fortnight concerned, let us quote Noirmoutier, Saint-Jean-de-Monts, Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez, Saint- Gilles-Croix-de-Vie, Brétignolles-sur-Mer, or La Tranche-sur-Mer, La Faute-sur-Mer and L'Aiguillon-sur-Mer.
