Seven candidates are in the running for the face-to-face meeting next Wednesday, May 20, in Burundi. The campaign ends this Sunday, May 17. RFI gives the floor to all the candidates. This Friday morning, we receive the former rebel chief Agathon Rwasa, who presents himself under the colors of the National Congress for Freedom (CNL). He is the main rival of General Evariste Ndayishimiyé, candidate of the ruling party (the CNDD-FDD), National Council for the Defense of Democracy-Forces for the Defense of Democracy.
