With her graphic novel The Birds Do Not Turn Around, Nadia Nakhlé tells with great poetry the fate of Amel, a 12-year-old orphan, trying to leave her country devastated by war.

Publicity

" We are suffering from an incurable disease called hope ." The phrase is from the great Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish. It resonates in a particular way in this period of health crisis. She appears in one of the best comic books of the moment, an album dedicated to children which tells a story of children, but also a universal story, full of humanity, an advocacy for love and sharing of cultures in an oriental setting lit by music. A work, which was to be coupled with a show and a film, artistic projects a little upset by the confinement but which, no doubt, will see the light of day as the adventure is beautiful. Nadia Nakhlé's first graphic novel The birds do not turn around has been published by Delcourt.

Chronicle Conficulture by Marjorie Bertin:
The Norwegian puppeteer Yngvild Aspeli has adapted with twenty artists from all over Europe, Moby Dick, the famous sperm whale hunting story of the American writer Herman Melville. A creation that combines puppets, live music, theater and video. An artistic crossing which was to be one of the beautiful surprises of the Avignon festival.
