Far from what would be expected from an interim position, since Rosa María Mateo was appointed sole provisional administrator of RTVE -this summer will be two years at the helm of the corporation- she has not stopped making important decisions, including significant changes in the template with promotions, exits, transfers and replacement of some professionals.

Now, in full alarm for the coronavirus crisis, and despite the uncertainty about how the new normal situation that may befall future television projects may affect , the head of RTVE has decided to undertake new changes that affect a Strategic section of the programming of La 1 and that leaves the organization of the main chain of the public corporation committed for the coming season.

The first change affects La Mañana , the morning magazine of La 1 that María Casado has been running since 2016 . Last Friday TVE announced through a note that the president of the Television Academy will stop presenting this space and that her place will be taken by Mónica López , currently responsible for meteorological information on the public network.

Casado is part of the fixed workforce of RTVE so he will continue to be linked to the corporation, but at the moment it has not transpired which position he will occupy from September when the relay will take place in the morning . "He will dedicate himself to other professional tasks at RTVE," he limited himself to pointing out the note.

To this change another known one is added on Monday: the program As of today that the former minister Máximo Huerta leads will not continue on the La 1 grid. As explained by the presenter himself on Twitter, the space that began to be broadcast in July 2019 and that he was temporarily suspended due to the information needs derived from the Covid-19 crisis, he will no longer return to the screen.

Official RTVE sources consulted by this newspaper explain these changes as "programming restructuring and presenters that are carried out in all channels on a regular basis . " However, the announcements come at an exceptional time for the entire television sector and with the possibility that the RTVE management that has made these decisions will not continue to lead the corporation when the new season they affect begins.
