The popularity of urban agriculture dates back to the aftermath of the Second World War. It was born in a context of severe shortages and was then a means of subsistence for city dwellers.

With industrialization, cultivable spaces have shrunk, but today urban farms are booming. Example in London where we cultivate in the open air but also underground!
