Doctors published CT scans of lungs of children after they were infected with the coronavirus, and the pictures showed lung damage in the injured, according to the British "Daily Mail" website.

The Boston Children's Hospital team assessed tomography of cases of children with "Covid-19" to see the most common signs.

In one study of 20 children, nearly two thirds of them suffered from opacities of the ground wall of the lung, an indication of the spread of inflammation.

Half of the patients have what is known as the "halo sign", which is when the inflammation surrounds a lung mass, which makes it difficult to breathe because the air sacs in the lungs are filled with substances such as fluids or infection.

Children generally appear to be less affected by Covid-19 than adults, but are more likely to become infected if they have an underlying condition.
