Pending the reopening of restaurants in France, the Fooding guide launched on Tuesday an online service that references the best of take-out, a way of "resisting" the coronavirus. There are also offers from "artisans, bakers, caterers" spotted during confinement, said Alexandre Cammas, founder of Fooding. It is part of the Michelin group and promotes relaxed and accessible gastronomy.
Take away sales of starred chefs
If France began a gradual deconfinement this Monday after 55 days of almost total cessation of activities, the date of the reopening of restaurants will not be known until June. The new Fooding site, which uses geolocation, has listed 500 addresses to date. It will expand with, in particular, starred chefs who have launched into take-out dishes.
"We offer to chefs who are not in Fooding because they are too much in the Michelin Guide codes to participate if they make take-away sales", specifies Alexandre Cammas. "The era is complicated and it is worth going looking for what is best," he says. "The use of the restaurant will inevitably evolve and all [those] who have started taking take-away , those who will offer opportunities to eat out, will become new" establishments, anticipates Alexandre Cammas.
