It is reported that Wuhan City plans to implement domestic waste classification from July 1st, and the maximum penalty for violating units is up to 50,000 yuan; for individuals who are not classified, a fine of 50-200 yuan will be imposed.
The "Measures" intend to classify the household waste in Wuhan into four categories: recyclables, hazardous waste, kitchen waste, and other waste.
Among them, recyclables represent domestic waste suitable for recycling, including paper, plastic, metal, glass, fabric, etc .; hazardous waste, represent household hazardous waste in the National List of Hazardous Waste, including lamps and household chemicals Products and batteries, etc .; food waste, which means perishable, organic waste, including household food waste, food waste, and other food waste; other waste, except for recyclables, harmful waste, food waste Domestic garbage other than garbage.
Prior to this, Wuhan City has launched a pilot project for the classification of household waste. After the implementation of the Measures on July 1, it means that the city has entered the stage of mandatory classification of household waste.
After the implementation of the compulsory garbage classification management measures, the city management department shall order corrections to units and individuals that violate the regulations, and those who refuse to make corrections shall be punished according to the following provisions:
Units that have not kept the household waste sorting collection containers intact and in normal use shall be ordered to make corrections within a time limit; those who fail to make corrections within the time limit shall be fined not less than RMB 1,000 but not more than RMB 3000;
Failure to transport domestic garbage to a place that meets the conditions for collection and transportation and meets environmental control requirements, or fails to submit it to a company that meets the requirements for classification and collection and transportation is ordered to make corrections within a time limit; ;
Those who have not formulated a domestic waste classification management system and have not established a classification ledger shall be ordered to make corrections within a time limit; if they fail to make corrections within the time limit, they shall be fined more than 500 yuan and less than 1,000 yuan;
If the household garbage is not classified into the corresponding collection container, it shall be ordered to make corrections; if it refuses to make corrections, it shall impose a fine of more than 50 yuan but less than 200 yuan;
If the classified domestic garbage is collected and transported, it shall be ordered to make corrections within a time limit; if it is not corrected within the time limit, it shall be imposed a fine of not less than RMB 5,000 but not more than RMB 30,000;
Those who do not abide by the provisions for classified disposal shall be ordered to make corrections within a time limit; if they do not correct within the time limit, they shall be fined 30,000 to 50,000 yuan; if they cause losses, they shall be liable for compensation according to law. (Finish)
