Since the start of the coronavirus epidemic, many screening "drives" have settled in France. They allow any patient to be tested for Covid-19 without getting out of their vehicle. The formula has proven itself in many cities. Since this weekend, a map has been used to identify the locations of the laboratories that offer this service, specifies BFMTV. It is visible on the drivecovid.fr website.

"For three weeks, we have been contacting the laboratories to list their drive initiatives," explains Guillaume Touchard, commercial director of the company Essence & Co at the news channel. "Today we have identified around 70%," says the manager of this company which has a mobile application offering fuel prices throughout the country.

Over 600 locations

The card has more than 600 contact points. For each laboratory offering Covid-19 screening in the form of a drive, it is possible to know the contact details and how to book an appointment. It is necessary, on the one hand, to make an appointment by telephone and to have, in most cases, a medical prescription, specifies BFMTV.

Other maps of drive services are made available to the public at local level, specifies the news channel. Regional health agencies (ARS) point in particular to all the laboratories that offer Covid-19 screening tests. The drivecovid.fr site is therefore the only initiative targeting the drive.
