From 18:00 on May 11th, a heavy rainstorm occurred in Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province, causing the streets to be flooded.
At 20:36 on the same day, the fire rescue team of Zhaoqing City received an alarm saying that the car at the intersection of Gaoyao No. 2 Middle Road, Nanan Street, Gaoyao District, Zhaoqing City was flooded with cars and people were trapped. After receiving the alarm, the detachment command center immediately dispatched the fire rescue station on the south bank of Gaoyao District to the scene to rescue.
After the firefighters arrived at the scene, they found that the water level at the scene was more than 1 meter deep. Because a car did not know the water depth, the vehicle was trapped during the driving process. There was a substation near the trapped vehicle. After understanding the situation, the firefighter transferred the trapped person to the fire truck and used the fire truck to transport the trapped person to a safe area.
On the way back to the team, the fire rescue station on the south bank of Gaoyao District received a notice from the command center, saying: People outside the Zhongjie shoe factory on Nanxing 5th Road were flooded and needed to be moved to a safe location. Firefighters used rubber boats to transfer trapped persons. After more than 2 hours of rescue, 9 trapped persons were successfully transferred to a safe area, and two factory vehicles were successfully transferred to a safe area.
