A truck carrying cigarettes was robbed this Tuesday morning near Vénissieux (Rhône), learns 20 minutes from a source close to the matter. According to the first elements of the investigation, several men in hoods and armed with Kalashnikovs forced the driver and the passenger of the truck to divert to the commune of Irigny. Then, they unloaded part of the cargo in another vehicle.

Before fleeing, the criminals torched the truck. One of the two drivers was injured but his life prognosis is not engaged. The prosecution has not yet decided whether the investigation should be entrusted to the police or the gendarmerie, which is competent in the city where the burnt-out truck was found.
