Overcoming the "difficult door-to-door" and "difficult to grab the order"
  housekeeping

From March 2 to April 28, the company registered about 70 aunts, about one-third of whom found a job, and some people have not yet worked. Sometimes a job comes temporarily, two people are needed, and four or five aunts apply at the same time. In order to be fair, it may be used to decide who will take the post.

  ---------------

Under the epidemic situation, the housekeeping industry was once "stopped", leaving many young mothers at a loss. A measure to "rescue" working mothers and housekeeping practitioners was recently introduced: On May 1, the "Shanghai Municipal Housekeeping Service Regulations" was formally implemented, encouraging the development of employee-based housekeeping service institutions and training professionals in housekeeping services; eligible housekeeping staff may Settled in, can be included in the scope of public rental housing protection ...

What is the current situation of the housekeeping industry? Has the aunt's difficulty in coming home eased?

Aunts in individual communities are still "difficult to visit"

A threshold, during the epidemic stopped millions of housekeeping aunts. At the beginning of March, some housekeeping companies resumed work, and some aunts returned from the field. After the quarantine period, they thought they could "reinstate production", but the community was "not allowed to enter" and customers could only "have to worry" at home.

As some regions have lowered the risk level of the epidemic situation, the difficulty of visiting aunts has gradually improved. Registration, display of health code, temperature measurement ... In some areas, only need to complete these steps, the aunt can enter the community.

However, the problem of the difficulty of visiting aunts in individual communities has not been resolved. On April 28, the person in charge of a Shanghai domestic management company told the China Youth Daily and China Youth Daily that on April 27, because the company's office is located in the community, the aunt wanted to apply for the company, but was stopped outside the community.

"At this time in previous years, employers called and asked a lot, and it was easy to take orders." Zhao Xianju, from Yichang, Hubei, is a nursery teacher. As the month passed, she still didn't receive an order from the household. Zhao Xianju said that it is difficult to receive a new order this year, and the nursery teachers she knows are all working in the old employer's home.

Zhao Xianju has been in the housekeeping industry for 8 years. Her most recent single has been done for 3 years. From the full moon of the child to the child learning to walk and talk, she has been carefully caring. In early January of this year, when the children of the employer's family reached school age, Zhao Xianju also decided to take a vacation for himself and return home to accompany his family during the New Year.

From January 15 to the present, Zhao Xianju, who could not receive the order, had to stay in his hometown. Zhao Xianju said frankly that she used her entire savings to buy a new house for her daughter who was about to get married. The monthly loan of 2,000 yuan made Zhao Xianju, who had no income, feel powerless. "I can only borrow money from relatives to repay."

At the beginning of March, Zhao Xianju started to contact a housekeeping company in Shanghai to find an employer. She also asked her previous employer to help. In mid-April, the company contacted an employer who was suitable in all aspects. The employer was very satisfied with Zhao Xianju's skills and work experience. However, the employer proposed that the monthly salary of 8,000 yuan should be reduced to 6,000 yuan. Zhao Xianju thought that the job was not easy to find now, and he could only agree.

However, just a few days ago, the employer learned that Zhao Xianju was from Hubei and told Zhao Xianju that she was a little worried, "wait and wait."

Seven or eight people in a job "snatch"

According to the Ministry of Commerce, as of the end of March, the resumption rate of the housekeeping industry reached 40%.

Some aunts still stay in their hometowns to watch, and some aunts of housekeeping come out early to isolate and are ready to go to work at any time. On the afternoon of April 28, at the site of Shanghai Wanbang Housekeeping Company, there were more than a dozen housekeeping aunts waiting for work. Sui Chunfang from Heilongjiang was one of them. She was 53 years old and worked in the housekeeping industry for 3 years. She came to Shanghai in March, and the room and board expenses during the quarantine period, plus other expenses, had already spent 3,000 yuan, "the money on her body is almost exhausted." She said, "It's been a month and I haven't received any order."

"Now, there are seven or eight people fighting for a job." Mr. Zhu of Shanghai Wanbang Housekeeping Service Co., Ltd. said that there are more than ten aunts "waiting for work" every day in the company. Two years ago, two or three people participated in the competition. This year, a client wanted to find an aunt. The company recommended seven or eight aunts. The client is like a "beauty contest", and then chooses after a comprehensive evaluation of the aunt's origin, age, and business capabilities. Sui Chunfang observed that aunts between the ages of 30 and 40 are more competitive.

"Another problem is that the salary is very low." Mr. Zhu observed that as the customer's demand for the aunt fell, the aunt's salary was lowered. For the same position, the monthly salary fell by about 1,000 to 2,000 yuan compared to last year. .

Behind the increased competitive pressure of Auntie is the severe challenges facing the housekeeping industry. Wu Xiaoyu of Beijing Jiahe Lianfang Housekeeping Service Co., Ltd. told reporters at China Youth Daily that some housekeeping companies have orders about one-third of the same period last year. They are in better condition and their orders can reach 60% of last year. The reason for the decrease in orders is, on the one hand, people are worried about the outbreak and they dare not let their aunts come to the door; on the other hand, during the outbreak, many people are working at home and their demand is declining.

Xie Zhanyin, the person in charge of Shanghai Xieli Family Service Company, pointed out that the company's order was about 60% of the same period last year, and the recovery rate of housekeeping aunts was 50% to 60%.

Xie Zhanyin said that at present, among all types of housekeeping services, part-time workers are in the most difficult situation. Compared with the aunt who lives at home, they have been to many places and many customers are uneasy. Now, many aunts only work 2 to 3 hours a day, and few people work 7 to 8 hours.

At the same time, recruitment of new people continues. Xie Zhanyin pointed out that from March 2 to April 28, the company registered about 70 aunts, of which about a third found a job, and some people have not yet worked. Sometimes a job comes temporarily, two people are needed, and four or five aunts apply at the same time. In order to be fair, it may be used to decide who will take the post.

The housekeeping industry is accelerating "change"

Under the epidemic situation, while the number of orders declined, the housekeeping industry was also thinking about how to "reform". For example, through learning to strengthen professional capabilities, develop online channels, expand business scope, and issue "consumer vouchers for homework resumption" ...

From February to early March, as a "contact service", due to the epidemic situation, employees were unable to take up jobs, some domestic workers strengthened skills learning at home, and many companies' skills training changed from offline to online, interviews, signings, etc Also started online. At the same time, expanding the scope of business has become one of the "self-help" methods of domestic enterprises, among which, the elimination of reinstatement enterprises has become a popular new business. In addition, the Changning District of Shanghai issued “Consumer Vouchers for Reinstatement of Homework” to increase orders for the local housekeeping industry.

To a certain extent, the epidemic changed the operation mode of the housekeeping industry. Shao Hanqing, executive deputy dean of the School of Social Development and Management of Hunan Women ’s College, pointed out that under the epidemic situation, the informationization, networked services and transaction levels of some domestic service companies have improved significantly, and the number of contactless service categories has increased; Personnel and service organizations pay more attention to health management, especially health basic information and health monitoring of service processes, and improve health awareness in the domestic service industry through supervision and training. At the same time, this will also lead to innovations in the technology and management of the domestic service industry.

Some housekeeping service companies have established a set of health management processes to allow housekeeping practitioners to maintain service distance from customers, wear masks, and measure the temperature of all employees. Wu Xiaoyu said that after the quarantine, the housekeeping aunts need to undergo a medical examination and report the itinerary to the customer truthfully; before entering the door, they need to disinfect their coats and shoes; after entering the door, wash their hands immediately and put on their home clothes. "In the face of the epidemic, people around the world are very cautious, and we must be more cautious." In addition, customers also need to provide itinerary information to the company, "We must be responsible for both customers and aunts."

Relevant departments in some regions have also contributed to the standardized development of the housekeeping industry. With the implementation of the "Shanghai Domestic Service Regulations" on May 1, the professional development of the domestic service industry will be promoted. On May 7, Shantou City issued the "Implementation Plan for Promoting the Quality and Capacity Expansion of the Domestic Service Industry", pointing out that to improve the quality of domestic workers, it is also necessary to improve the working environment. From June 1st, Shanghai will fully implement the housekeeping service for housekeeping personnel.

Talent is essential to the development of the industry. Both Shanghai and Shantou have proposed to strengthen the training of domestic workers. Shao Hanqing pointed out that if the policy is implemented, it will be very helpful to improve the professional recognition and social recognition of domestic service workers. He suggested that to expand the scale of talent cultivation, the supply of talents has a certain periodicity; establish and improve a multi-level education system for vocational education and higher education; and, establish a school-enterprise collaborative education mechanism to cultivate high-quality application-oriented models that can lead the development of the industry Talent.

"The implementation of this regulation in Shanghai is good for the housekeeping industry." Since 2005, Xie Zhanyin has worked in the housekeeping industry. He said that preferential conditions such as public rental housing are generally "unreachable" for the housekeeping aunt. Usually, the houses rented by aunts are several hundred yuan / month, and some are about to be demolished. Once they are demolished, it is difficult for them to rent a house of 2,000 yuan / month. Can apply for public rental housing, "this is related to whether they can survive in Shanghai."

Zhao Xianju plans to go to Shanghai first, regardless of whether he can receive the order, to be quarantined for 14 days according to the requirements, to be tested, and to obtain a health certificate. Zhao Xianju, while calculating the cost of isolation, comforted herself. "It's useless to be anxious. I think that one day everyone will accept us."

The housekeeping industry is also gradually recovering. Xie Zhanyin said that since the resumption of work on March 2, initially there were no orders, and after Qingming, orders began to gradually increase. As some children start school in May, the demand for aunts gradually increases and will gradually get better after the outbreak.

Wu Xiaoyu also said, "Now, look after the old customers and children of old customers with their aunts, take good care of their" backyard "and let them go to work."
