According to Tokyo, the “positive rate” of the new coronavirus on the 10th was a provisional value of 5.9%. On the other hand, the already announced provisional value of the "positive rate" has been revised, and the highest figure was changed from 31.6% to 31.7%.

Tokyo has announced the number calculated by its own method for the new coronavirus PCR test performed in Tokyo as "Positive rate" from 8th of this month, and the "Positive rate" on 10th is a provisional value. It was 5.9%.

Among the tests, some medical institutions apply insurance to the private sector, and the number of such tests is also used to calculate the "positive rate", but depending on the capital, it has been done by medical institutions so far. It means that the number of examinations was additionally reported.

For this reason, Tokyo revised some of the past figures, of which the provisional positive rate on the 7th was 7.8%, but now it was 7.3%. The provisional value of 7.6% on the 8th was revised to 6.9%.

Also, due to a change in the calculation method, 11th of April 11th and 14th, which had the highest positive rate of 31.6%, was revised to 31.7%.

A person in charge of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government said, “We would like to make sure that there are no omissions in reports to medical institutions, and if there are additional reports, we will promptly correct them and provide correct information.”
