The coronavirus could have dramatic consequences for the indigenous peoples of the Amazon, who are already counting their first deaths. In an under-equipped region with a collapsing health system, indigenous communities protect themselves by isolating themselves. However, in addition to the coronavirus, there is the problem of the invasion of their land by illegal miners and timber traffickers, generating conflicts and health risks.
