Visa pour l'image, the most important photojournalism festival in the world, which is held every year in Perpignan (south of France) announced Friday that it intends to maintain its 32nd edition, scheduled from August 29 to September 13, if the measures health related to the Covid-19 epidemic "allow it".

"Exceptionally, the Visa pour l'image team is preparing a 2020 edition adapted to the current regulations on social distancing and public circulation, respecting the instructions of the authorities," explained the organizers in a press release.

20 exhibitions

If the sanitary conditions allow the festival to be held, this edition like no other will offer the public 20 exhibitions from August 29 to September 13, on two emblematic sites of the festival which will be set up to take these instructions into account.

The organizers also want to organize, as in every edition, screenings, awards, portfolio presentations and conferences. They will be organized "online, live or delayed", and with free access, from August 31 to September 5, according to a calendar which will be specified later.

The weeks reserved for schoolchildren (from 14 to 18 and from 21 to 25 September) remain to be confirmed.
