From the date of her daughter's birth to now, Zhang Haijing will paint a picture for her daughter every once in a while, recording every bit of her growth. Zhang Haijing learned to paint and paint "to become a monk halfway." The 30-year-old Zhang Haijing grew up in Lishui, Zhejiang. In 2008, she fell from the sixth floor when she collected clothes on the balcony. Although her life was saved, she lost the ability to walk and could only go with a wheelchair. The sudden blow made Zhang Haijing depressed for more than a year. In 2009, by chance, Zhang Haijing was exposed to and fascinated by painting. She learns to paint in a wheelchair every day, and has met many like-minded friends. With their encouragement, Zhang Haijing gradually came out of the pain. "At that time, I was really hooked on painting. Some of the pain that could not be described in words can be calmed down in the quiet painting process." Zhang Haijing said. In 2014, Zhang Haijing met but was well known in Shaoxing, Zhejiang. But Yuchao is also a disabled person and has no right hand since childhood. Perhaps it is a similar experience, the two have many common languages, and soon fell in love. The following year, Zhang Haijing followed Dan Yuchao to return to his hometown in Dagang Town, Duchang County, Jiangxi Province, and became a "foreign daughter-in-law." Due to the physical disability of the couple and the frailty of the elderly at home, the couple were identified as poor households in 2016. In order to improve his life, Zhang Haijing used his painting expertise to sell his works to increase family income. With the help of the local government, Zhang Haijing founded an art studio in the town. While instructing local left-behind children to learn painting, he created paintings and sold them online. Husband Dan Yuchao also had his own job with the help of the government. In 2018, Zhang Haijing's family got rid of poverty and took off their hats. "I hope to use my expertise to popularize rural art education, let more rural children learn some painting knowledge, open a door to the world of painting for them, and make their lives more likely." Zhang Haijing said. The picture shows Zhang Haijing packing a painting in the studio and preparing to mail it to the customer (photographed on May 7).
