There is no longer an intensive care patient in the Pyrénées-Orientales for the Covid-19. This is one of the good news of the situation update unveiled on Friday by the ARS (Regional Health Agency) and confirmed by the last assessment stopped on Saturday at 5 p.m.

Perpignan was one of the main clusters of the coronavirus pandemic in Occitania. Thirty-four people died there. Nine patients are still hospitalized in the establishments of the department, but 267 people were able to return to their homes after being hospitalized there, some of them in the intensive care services.

More patients in intensive care for Covid-19, in the Lot and Lozère

In Occitania, there is no longer any resuscitation patient linked to Covid-19 in the Lot. In Lozère, which has long been the only department in mainland France without a death linked to the pandemic, no one is hospitalized for the coronavirus.

In Occitania, 629 people officially died from the coronavirus (453 in health facilities, 176 in nursing homes according to figures stopped on May 6). Covid-19 home deaths are expected to be known in June.

7,398 people tested positive at Covid-19

436 patients are still hospitalized in the thirteen departments of the region, including 105 in intensive care. 2,419 people were able to return to their homes after being hospitalized in the various health facilities in the region. A total of 7,398 people tested positive there for Covid-19.
