In Dordogne and in Vienne, two new epidemic foci have been detected these last days, in departments however classified "green" on the deconfinement map. "We must continue to be extremely careful," recommends Anne-Claude Crémieux, professor of infectious diseases at Saint-Louis hospital.

Two new sources of contamination have been identified in France in the past three days, on the eve of the release from containment. One was detected after a burial in the Dordogne, the other after an educational meeting in a college in Vienne. These two departments appear in green on the deconfinement map. "It simply means that green areas are also areas where the virus circulates," said Anne-Claude Crémieux, professor of infectious diseases at Saint-Louis hospital in Paris.

"We must continue to be extremely careful."

The card presented by the government is in fact based in part on the percentage of emergency visits for suspected Covid-19. "Most infections are not very symptomatic, so patients do not go to the emergency room," says Anne-Claude Crémieux. Even in the green zone, be careful, she says, not to relax too quickly the efforts made during confinement.

CORONAVIRUS ESSENTIALS

> Partial unemployment: the parents' situation clarified

> A new inflammatory disease affecting children linked to the coronavirus?

> What will shopping be like after May 11?

> The French will have to go on vacation near their home

> Why going to the hairdresser will cost more after confinement

For Anne-Claude Crémieux, the formation of these two new sources of contamination proves above all that "as soon as we release the barrier measures, chains of contamination are formed". From Monday, she therefore calls for "respecting the barrier measures even more", in particular keeping the meter from the regulatory distance, using hydroalcoholic gel as often as necessary and wearing a mask in public places. "We must continue to be extremely careful."
