May will be a month of charity for Metallica. Faced with the social crisis that is catching up with the health situation in the United States, the rockers have decided to use their All Within My Hands foundation. They call on their community to donate to support four organizations that are helping the populations most affected by the crisis. In addition to Feeding America, it is Crew Nation which helps entertainment professionals, Bartenders Guild Foundation, which works for bar employees and finally Direct Relief which concerns health professionals.

“We know times are tough for so many right now, and we truly appreciate the phenomenal support you've given us, our @AWMHFoundation, and these other worthy organizations.” https://t.co/0sSh4sMlAE

A heart of gold

Metallica did not wait for the coronavirus crisis to start. In fact, it's been two years since they encouraged their fans to volunteer in food banks during the month of May.

They also recorded a live album whose profits were donated to the victims of the fires that ravaged California in 2018, as Rolling Stone recalls. Like what we can shout very loud while having the heart on the hand.
