Osaka Prefecture announced that 11 new people have been confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus.
The infection was confirmed in one elementary school boy, nine men and women in their 20s to 70s, and one woman in their 100s.
This 100-year-old woman is a patient at "Meijibashi Hospital" in Matsubara, Osaka, where an outbreak has occurred, but she is mildly ill.
The number of confirmed infections in Osaka Prefecture has increased to 17,43.
