According to the publication "News of Georgia", Gakharia indicated that Tbilisi intends to develop tactics for protecting against Saakashvili’s adventures.

“We will not call into question our strategic partnership, the brotherhood of our countries and peoples because of individual irresponsible politicians. Although we recalled the ambassador, this does not mean that we will call into question diplomatic relations or strategic partnership. We recalled the ambassador only in order to undergo consultations on the topic of how to protect our relations from adventurers, ”he said.

The prime minister also added that he fears “interference in the internal affairs of Georgia” by Saakashvili and wants to receive guarantees from the Ukrainian side that this will not happen.

Earlier, Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani said that the Georgian authorities are recalling Sharashenidze from Kiev for consultations because of the situation with the appointment of Saakashvili.

On May 7, it became known that Saakashvili was appointed head of the executive reform committee in Ukraine. Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky has already signed a decree.
