Now the member of chair number 14 in the Swedish Academy has passed away, 71 years old.

- She was an absolutely outstanding and incomparable person and writer. Talking to her was always an adventure. We talked closely and communicated a lot all the time, even though we hadn't known each other for so long, "Mats Malm, who took over as permanent secretary at the Swedish Academy in June last year, told TT.

Culture Minister Amanda Lind (MP) writes on twitter:

“Got the message that Kristina Lugn passed away. A great poet and playwright, with words that reached. Incredibly sad to hear, my thoughts are with her close. "

The 1983 breakthrough

After growing up in Skövde and Vallentuna, with father Robert Lugn, general major and modern Brita-Stina Lugn, associate professor, studies were expected in Uppsala. The same year Kristina Lugn graduated with a master's degree in 1972, she also published her first work, the poem collection "If I Don't".

The breakthrough came in the work from 1983 - "Familiarity is desired with older formed gentleman". A collection of poems that portrayed the longing, anxiety and self-esteem of those seeking love in a contact ad. Then she created a wide range of dramatic works and plays, music texts and media productions.

- She wrote on the basis of experience, you can say that if you read her lyric it is about sex and anxiety suppressing drugs, everyday events, everything we hear and see and very freely. She also does that type of dialogues as a playwright, very free and open dialogues, says Ingrid Elam, literature critic for SVT News.

"A failure in a gown dress"

In 1997 Kristina Lugn became artistic director of Teater Brunnsgatan Fyra in Stockholm, following the death of her friend and actor Allan Edwall. There, several of her plays were put up, as well as on the Dramaten.

During the late 1990s and early 2000s, she was awarded several awards, such as the "Ferlin Prize", "Tage Danielsson Prize" and "Bellman Prize". In 2003 she published "Hello, have a good time", her latest collection of poems, and three years later she was elected a member of the Swedish Academy.

She entered chair 14 after Lars Gyllensten on December 20, 2006.

Kristina Lugn has been acclaimed for her way of being unblessed to be human. The reason why she has become popular, according to herself? No one wanted to be like her.

- It is safe to see a wreck go around. A breakdown in a gown dress. They think: if she can do it, so can I. When I die, people will feel: Kristina Lugn could die, so will I, she said to Dagens Nyheter 2014.
