Swedish live submits a letter to Culture Minister Amanda Lind (MP) on Friday with the wishes of the industry. They emphasize that crisis support is appreciated, but question why support for artists, for example, covers canceled assignments until the end of August, while the music industry can only seek support for events that would have taken place until last May. This is despite the fact that summer is the most important period in the industry.

- It is reasonable to believe that the restrictions for public gatherings will also apply over the summer, and then planned festivals can not be implemented. Therefore, the support needs to be extended, says Joppe Pihlgren, operations manager at Swedish live.

Between June and August this year, at least 3,000 performances are estimated to be canceled or moved forward. It can be compared to spring (March 12 to May 31), when the corresponding figure is 1,000.
